A short video showing ciliates - a group of protozoans characterized by the presence of hair-like organelles called cilia which are variously used in swimming, crawling, attachment, feeding, and sensation. Recorded by Rishon on a SWIFT SW350T Trinocular Compound Microscope, using bright-field and dark-field microscopy. From water samples collected at Kingfisher Pond in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire.
