A short video showing Cylindrotheca closterium, a single-celled phytoplankton, from sea water samples we collected during a weekend trip to Felixstowe Ferry in Suffolk. The cell of C. closterium has two long, thin, flexible ends, with the nucleus and two chloroplasts in the central region of the cell. |
